Introduction to Adobe Illustrator

This course has been designed to teach new users how to produce professional graphics, illustrations and designs. The emphasis is on practical, hands-on exercises that will enable the user to learn new skills and build confidence.
The course covers Illustrator's sophisticated drawing and text controls, creating complex shapes, using different pens and brushes, using the paint effects and the tracing tools, importing photographs for positioning and layout, exporting to and from other applications, the difference between vectors and bitmaps, laying out a page for print or pdf, and utilising Illustrator’s symbols, brushes, swatches and graphic libraries.
The course is suitable for graphic designers, illustrators, artists, photographers and web developers and any one interested in creating or their own page layouts or presentations eg, celebration cards, posters, advertisements, brochures, Business cards and PDFs.

Basic materials and equipment required for the workshop will be provided. Any additional materials required are to be purchased.
