Just before the arts and culture activities take a breather for the summer, the galleries at DIFC will be hosting one more of their popular Art Nights @ Gate Village. Following up on a successful year and a half of events that have attracted art enthusiasts from around the country, Art Night will bring an eventful and colourful season of art activities to a close.

The event attracted nearly 5000 visitors at its previous inning in March 2012 is an art focus initiative taking place in the heart of Dubai’s financial district, DIFC Gate Village; a contemporary urban area that is home to a collection of galleries, boutiques, restaurants and high-end cafes. The event is known for its unique vibe in bringing together high-end commercial art with local artists and musicians to create a welcoming, relaxed and creatively buzzing setting.

Visitors to Art Night @ Gate Village on the 8 May can expect the usual high standard of artwork in the galleries as new exhibitions are opened in the 8 spaces (Art Sawa, Artspace, Ayyam Gallery, Cuadro Fine Art, Opera Gallery, The Empty Quarter, The Farjam Collection and XVA Gallery). There will also be a series of special events on the night in the boutiques including Aliel, The Rug Company, u energy and Andrew Martin.

Continuing to support local talent, artist Fathima Mohiuddin will be drawing live at the event accompanied by live opera on the night.

Art Nights @ Gate Village is free and open to the public.
